Our Mission
Gurgia Charities is trying to intervene in the chain of middlemen and introduce the artisans to the exporters so that production costs can be brought down and artisans get better paid. Gurgia Charities has also set up a skill up gradation and quality control centre at Tilhar to improve quality and to save on time.
Stitching was another activity that has been fluctuating with export demands. Gurgia Charities intends to organize workers, especially women workers to do mass fabrication of inexpensive garments for the domestic and the export market. Here too the Gurgia Charities shall be interfacing with women to create better working conditions. Training programmes are being carried for both skill development and skill up gradation.
Looking Forward:
Gurgia Charities is working for the empowerment of the rural poor especially of women as it the organisations firm belief that empowered women can best uplift the family in terms of better health and education
